AI content suggestions
Use AI to plan new pages and posts from your existing content, and to improve the page or post you're editing.
Structurell includes two AI tools for your website content. AI Content Suggestions helps you plan what to write next, based on the pages or posts you already have. The Writing assistant works inside the page and post editors to improve the wording or SEO details of the item you're working on. Both tools suggest changes for you to review. Nothing is published automatically.
Before you start
- Your package must include AI for Content. If you can't see AI Suggestion or the AI button, see Package and add-ons or ask a subscription administrator.
- You need permission to view pages or posts to use the suggestions screen, and permission to edit them to apply the writing assistant's changes.
Open AI Content Suggestions
- For pages: go to Strengthen → Content → Pages, open the Add Page menu below the page tree and choose AI Suggestion. If you have more than one website, select a page in the tree first so the menu appears.
- For posts: go to Strengthen → Content → Posts and choose AI Suggestion alongside New.
The pages screen suggests pages and reviews your existing pages; the posts screen does the same for posts.
Choose your suggestion sources
The Suggestion sources panel controls what the AI works from. Leave Scan existing pages and posts ticked, which it is by default. The AI then reviews your current content to find gaps and avoid suggesting duplicates.
You need at least one source selected before you can ask for suggestions.
Ask for ideas
- Step 1: In What would you like to plan?, describe what you're after. For example: "What complementary pages should we publish next?" or "Which topics are we missing for small business customers?"
- Step 2: Select Get suggestions. You'll see Reviewing your content sources... while the AI works.
- Step 3: Read the reply. Any ideas appear under Suggested topics and titles, each labelled Page or Post, with the reason for the suggestion and any Evidence from your content.
- Step 4: To take an idea further, send another message that names it, for example: "Give me three title options for a page about onboarding new suppliers".
Each message is answered on its own, so include the details the AI needs in every message rather than referring back to earlier replies.
When you're happy with an idea, create the page or post in the usual way. See Creating and editing pages or Writing blog posts.
The conversation isn't kept when you leave the page, so copy any ideas you want to keep first.
Improve a page or post with the Writing assistant
- Step 1: Open the page or post you want to improve.
- Step 2: Select the AI button at the bottom left of the editor and choose Writing assistant.
- Step 3: Under Improve, choose Content, SEO metadata or Both.
- Step 4: Choose a Rewrite intensity: Minimal keeps your wording and structure and fixes only clear issues, Balanced improves clarity, tone and flow, and Aggressive rewrites more substantially while keeping the facts and intent.
- Step 5: Optionally, add Additional instructions (optional), for example "Use a friendlier tone" or "Mention our free trial".
- Step 6: Select Create proposal.
- Step 7: In Review proposed changes, compare each Current value with the Proposed value. Untick any change you don't want, and edit the proposed text if needed.
- Step 8: Select Apply selected changes.
The changes are copied into the editor but not saved. Review the page or post, then publish it, save a draft or schedule it as usual.
The writing assistant works on what's currently in the editor, including changes you haven't saved yet. If it has nothing to add, you'll see No changes suggested.
Tips for better results
- Be specific about your audience, goal and tone.
- Keep your page names, short descriptions and meta descriptions filled in, so the AI has more to work with.
- Always read AI suggestions carefully before publishing. Check facts, prices and claims.
Troubleshooting
- Get suggestions is greyed out: tick Scan existing pages and posts. You also need to enter a message before you can send it.
- Suggestions are unavailable right now: try again in a moment. If it keeps happening, contact support.
- Unable to create a proposal: close the message and try again. If it keeps happening, contact support.
