Prospect intelligence
Review evidence-backed signals about organisations, see each organisation's intelligence summary and run prospect research workflows that produce reviewable outreach drafts.
Prospect Intelligence helps you decide which organisations to approach and why. It collects signals: evidence-backed facts about an organisation, such as a change or an announcement, that your team checks before they affect your CRM. It scores each organisation. With CRM AI, it can also research organisations, suggest decision-makers and opportunity hypotheses, and prepare outreach drafts for a person to review. Prospect Intelligence never sends messages or contacts anyone by itself.
Before you start
- Your subscription's package must include Prospect Intelligence. See Package and add-ons.
- AI research, hypotheses and workflow runs need CRM AI. Without it you can still add and review signals by hand, and you'll see AI features are unavailable with a View features and add-ons link.
- You need permission to view signals. Adding signals, creating tasks, starting workflow runs and recording review outcomes each need their own permission. See Users, teams, groups and permissions.
Find Prospect Intelligence
Go to Grow → Signal → Prospect Intelligence. This opens the Signal inbox. The buttons at the top switch between Signal inbox, Workflow runs and Configuration.
If your package sets limits, the inbox also shows Monitored Organisations and Monitoring Frequency.
Review a signal
The Signal inbox lists signals with their organisation, summary and status. Select a signal to open it. The page shows the summary, the Claim type, Confidence and Score, and an Evidence panel with links to the sources. Advanced record details shows the full record.
Choose what to do with the signal:
- Verify: confirm the signal is accurate.
- Dismiss: reject it. You must enter a Reason.
- Monitor: keep watching it without acting yet.
- Create task: raise a follow-up for your team. Choose a Channel (such as Email, Call or LinkedIn), and optionally a Campaign and a Message or asset reference, then select Create task. The task starts as Awaiting Approval, and nothing is sent: a person takes the step once it is approved. You can't create a task from a dismissed signal.
- Run research or Generate hypothesis: with CRM AI, start an AI job about the signal. You're taken to a page that shows the job's status and, when it finishes, its output.
Add a signal by hand
- In the Signal inbox, select New. You only see this button if you can create signals.
- Under Details, choose the Organisation and Signal type, and enter a Title. Optionally add a Description and an Effective date.
- Under Evidence, enter the Source URL and a Source excerpt, so reviewers can check the claim. Optionally add the Source name and Published date.
- Select Save. The signal is added to the inbox for review.
See an organisation's intelligence
Open an organisation from Grow → Signal → Organisations and go to its Intelligence tab. It shows the organisation's Score (marked High priority when it is high), Confidence if you have CRM AI, and Status, followed by Latest signals.
From here you can:
- Select View intelligence details to open the full Organisation Intelligence page. With CRM AI, this also lists Decision-makers and Opportunity hypotheses.
- Select View organisation signals to see the inbox filtered to this organisation.
- Select Refresh Score to recalculate the score, if you have permission.
- Select Run AI research or Generate hypothesis to start an AI job, if you have CRM AI.
See Organisations and contacts.
Run a prospect workflow
A workflow run takes a set of organisations through research, qualification, decision-maker inference and an opportunity hypothesis, then prepares an outreach draft for a person to review.
- In Prospect Intelligence, select Workflow runs.
- Under Start a workflow run, choose a Target / ICP profile.
- Under Candidate accounts, enter the CRM organisation ID, a Source type and a Discovery reason for each organisation. The organisation ID is the number at the end of the address when you open the organisation. Select Add candidate for each extra organisation.
- Select Start run. The run opens.
If you can't start runs, you'll see You do not have permission to start workflow runs.
Review a workflow run
The run page shows a Stage timeline and funnel, a Candidates table you can filter by Stage and Outcome, and Run events. Select a candidate to open Stage inspection, which shows each stage's results: research, signals, risks, inferred decision-makers, the opportunity hypothesis and the evidence behind them.
When a candidate's outreach draft is ready for review, check the draft and choose:
- Accept: accept the draft as it is.
- Edit and accept: change the Subject and Draft body, then select Save edit and accept.
- Reject or Defer: you must give a reason.
- Convert to CRM task: turn it into a task. The reason you enter becomes the task's title.
Accepting a draft doesn't send it. Your team sends any message themselves.
If some work failed, select Retry failed work, or Retry this stage for a single stage. Select Cancel run to stop queued work. Completed evidence and results stay available.
The Workflow runs page also lists earlier runs and shows Decision-quality analytics. Narrow them with From, To, Profile, Source, Run and Outcome, then select Apply.
Configuration
Select Configuration to see the Profiles, Signal types, Watchlists and Sources set up for your subscription. These lists are read-only in Portal. If you need a new profile, signal type or source, raise a ticket. See Raising and following tickets.
