CRM settings

Find CRM settings and manage connected email accounts, custom fields and templates, stages and scoring rules.

CRM settings is where you shape Structurell CRM for your subscription: the mailboxes CRM reads, the fields on organisations, contacts and other records, and the rules that score engagement. Unlike most service settings, it isn't under Account → Settings.

Before you start

Open CRM settings

CRM settings doesn't have its own entry in the left-hand menu. If your subscription includes Prospect Intelligence:

  1. Go to Grow → Signal → Prospect Intelligence.
  2. Select Configuration.
  3. Select Settings in the breadcrumb trail at the top of the page.

Bookmark the page so you can return to it. If you don't have Prospect Intelligence, contact support for help reaching these settings.

The page shows a tile for each area you can access, and Audit logs listing recent CRM setup activity.

Email

Select Email to connect a mailbox so CRM can find related messages and calendar events.

  1. Make sure your subscription has a working email connection, such as Microsoft 365. See Connecting a provider.
  2. In the Connect panel, choose the Connection, enter the mailbox Email address and, optionally, a Name.
  3. Select Connect.

Connected mailboxes are listed at the bottom of the page. You only see the Connect panel if you have permission to connect email accounts.

Models: fields and templates

Select Models to customise CRM records. There's a tile for Organisation, Contact, Activity, Task, Recruitment Candidate and Recruitment Vacancy. Each has:

  • Fields: the pieces of information stored on that record.
  • Templates: how those fields are grouped and ordered on the form.

To add a field:

  1. Open the record type, select Fields, then select New.
  2. Enter a Name and a Code, and choose the Type.
  3. Set Is Required: No, Yes, but can skip on save or Yes, required on save.
  4. Choose the Grid Visibility: Not allowed to be visible, Allowed to be visible or Always shown. This controls whether the field can appear as a column in lists.
  5. For choice fields, open the Options tab and select Add option for each choice.
  6. Save the field.

A new field isn't shown on forms until you add it to a template. Open Templates, open the default template, select + Add Attribute in the group where the field belongs, drag fields and groups into order, and save. Changing the default template changes the form everyone sees.

Take care changing or disabling the fields that come with CRM, because other features rely on some of them.

Stages and scoring rules

  • Stages lists the stages in every pipeline, with their position and probability. See Pipelines and stages.
  • Scoring Rules combine engagement events across campaigns and channels into a score change, and can raise a follow-up task for approval. Select New scoring rule, choose what it Applies to, set the Score change, add Conditions (every condition must be met by the same record) and, optionally, a Follow-up action.
  • Intelligence Configuration shows the profiles, signal types, watchlists and sources Prospect Intelligence uses. See Prospect intelligence.
