Signing up

Finish setting up your Structurell account from an invitation email and get into your subscription.

Structurell accounts are created by invitation. There is no public sign-up form: a subscription administrator in your organisation adds you, and you then finish setting up your account from the email you receive. This article explains each way you can be given access and what to do at each step.

How you get an account

There are two ways into a subscription.

  • An administrator adds you as a user. This creates your Structurell account and emails you a link to finish setting it up. This is the usual route for new people.
  • An administrator invites an existing account. If you already have a Structurell account, an administrator can invite your email address to join their subscription. You accept the invitation after signing in. See Invites and access requests.

If you have an account but no subscription yet, you can ask an administrator for access yourself. See Requesting access to a subscription.

Finish setting up your account

When an administrator adds you, you receive an email titled Finish setting up your Structurell account.

  1. Open the email and select Finish account setup.
  2. On the registration page, enter your Name. Your Email is already filled in and cannot be changed here.
  3. Choose a Password and type it again in Password Confirmation. Your password must be at least 8 characters long.
  4. Tick the box to accept the Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.
  5. Select Register.

Your email address is confirmed automatically because you used the link sent to it. You are signed in and taken straight to the Portal, where you see the message "Your account has been updated."

If your setup link has expired

A setup link lasts 14 days, and each new link replaces the one before it, so only the most recent email works. If you open an old or expired link, you see This setup link no longer works. You can get a new link yourself:

  1. On that page, select Email me a new link.
  2. Open the new email and follow the steps in the section above.

The new link is sent to the address your account was created with. If you have already finished setting up, select Log in on that page instead. Administrators can also send a fresh link from Account → Users using Resend Complete Registration Email, or copy one with Get Registration Link.

Two-factor authentication is switched on for you

Every Structurell account uses two-factor authentication. When you finish setting up your account, email codes are switched on automatically, so when you next sign in with your password we email you a short code to enter as well. You can change to an authenticator app, or add a passkey so you do not need a code at all. See Setting up two-factor authentication and Logging in and using passkeys.

Accept an invitation to another subscription

If you already have an account and an administrator invites you to their subscription, you receive an email titled "You have been invited to join" followed by the subscription name.

  1. Select Review and accept invitation in the email.
  2. Sign in if you are asked to. You must sign in with the same email address the invitation was sent to.
  3. On the Accept Subscription Invite page, select Accept invite.

You see "Invite accepted." and the subscription is added to your account, with the permissions the administrator chose. You can move between your subscriptions using the switcher in the header. See Choosing and switching subscriptions.

Invitations are valid for 14 days. If you do not know the person who invited you, or were not expecting the invitation, do not accept it.

What happens after you sign in

  • If you belong to one subscription, it opens automatically.
  • If you belong to several, you are asked to Choose a subscription.
  • If you do not belong to any subscription yet, you see the Subscription Access page, where you can request access from an administrator.

Troubleshooting

  • The setup link says it no longer works. Select Email me a new link on that page. If you have already set up your account, log in instead, or reset your password if you have forgotten it.
  • "Accept invite" does not work. Make sure you are signed in with the email address the invitation was sent to, and that the invitation is less than 14 days old. Otherwise ask the administrator to send a new invitation.
  • You see a "Verify Email" page. Open the verification email we sent you and select the link in it. If you cannot find it, select Resend Verification Email. You can also select Log Out to leave the page.
  • You still cannot get in. Contact your subscription administrator, or contact support.
