The **Time left** page shows how much time is left on each of your projects and on every task in them. It shows two figures side by side: the time left now, and the time that will be left once the estimated work on your open tickets is done. Go to **Strengthen → Time left** to see it.

## Before you start

You need permission to view projects. If you can't see **Time left** under **Strengthen**, ask a subscription administrator. See [Users, teams, groups and permissions](/account-and-access/users-teams-groups-and-permissions).

Time allowances are set by Structurell on each project or task. A project or task with no allowance shows **No budget**.

## Reading the summary cards

The two cards at the top cover every project:

- **Open tickets**: how many tickets are still to be done, across every project. A ticket counts until it moves to **Ready for Release**, **Review** or **Closed**.
- **Estimated work**: the total of the estimates on those open tickets. Underneath, you'll see how many of them have an estimate, for example **8 of 10 estimated**. The card is highlighted when some open tickets have no estimate yet.

There is no total of time left across projects. Each project's allowance is its own, so each project is shown separately.

## Reading a project

Each project has its own section with two figures:

- **Left now**: the project's allowance minus the time logged so far. Underneath, you'll see the time logged and the allowance, for example **3d 2h logged of 10d**.
- **Left after estimates**: **Left now** minus the estimates on the project's open tickets. Underneath, you'll see how much work is estimated, for example **1d 4h estimated on open tickets**.

Figures are shown in days, hours and minutes, based on an eight-hour day. Green means there is time in hand. Red means the time is used up, and the figure shows how far over it is, for example **2h over**.

A note under a project's name may tell you:

- **No project budget: this adds up the budgets of its tasks.** The project has no allowance of its own, so its figures are the totals of its tasks that have one.
- That some open tickets have no estimate, for example **2 of 5 open tickets have no estimate, so "Left after estimates" leaves them out.** Until those tickets are estimated, the real figure may be lower than shown.

Select **Open project** to go to the project's page.

## Reading a task

Under each project, every task has its own row showing:

- **Left now** and **Left after estimates**, worked out the same way as for the project
- **Estimated work**: the total of the estimates on the task's open tickets
- **Open tickets**: how many there are, or, if some have no estimate, how many are estimated, for example **3 of 4 estimated**

Select a task to open its ticket board.

## What counts

- **Time logged** includes every timeslip on the task or project.
- **Open tickets** are those in **Open**, **In Progress** and **Hold**. Tickets in **Ready for Release**, **Review** and **Closed** are left out, because the time spent on them is already logged.

For more on estimates, see [Ticket estimates and ordering work](/strengthen/estimates-and-ordering).

## Other places you'll see these figures

- On a project's page, in the **Task capacity** panel. See [Projects and timeslips](/strengthen/projects-and-timeslips).
- Above a project's or a task's ticket board. See [Raising and following tickets](/strengthen/tickets).

## Troubleshooting

### "Overview unavailable"

If the page says **Time left could not be loaded. Try again in a moment.**, select **Try again**. If it still doesn't load, wait a few minutes and try again. When the page has loaded, **Refresh overview** reloads the figures.

### I see "No projects yet"

Your subscription doesn't have any projects yet. Time left appears once Structurell sets one up for you.

### The figures look different from what I expected

Check whether some open tickets have no estimate. **Left after estimates** leaves them out until they are estimated. Also remember that time logged on a ticket that has been moved to another task stays on the original task.
