Content settings control where your pages, posts and blog categories are published. Each website links a domain to a homepage, a blog and a search page, so everything you create in **Strengthen → Content** knows where it belongs. Go to **Account → Settings → Content** to see your websites.

## Before you start

- Content must be included in your package. See [Package and add-ons](/account-and-access/package-and-add-ons).
- This page is for subscription administrators, and for users who have been given the website permissions directly. See [Users, teams, groups and permissions](/account-and-access/users-teams-groups-and-permissions).
- Add your website's domain in **Account → Domains** first, because you choose it from a list. See [Domains](/account-and-access/domains).
- Several settings connect Structurell to your website's code. Have your web developer to hand when you set up a new website.

## Add a website

1. Go to **Account → Settings → Content** and select **New**.
2. On the **General** tab, enter a **Name** and choose the **Domain Name**.
3. Leave **Status** as disabled until the website is ready to go live. New websites start disabled.
4. Save the website. The **Website Settings** page opens.
5. In the **Page Routing** notice, select **Add Root Page**. The page editor opens with a new homepage linked to this website. See [Creating and editing pages](/strengthen/content-pages).
6. Back in **Website Settings**, check that your homepage is selected as the **Root Page**.
7. Complete the other tabs described below, then set **Status** to enabled and save.

If a website is enabled but has no root page, the **Page Routing** notice turns red, because visitors have no homepage to land on.

## Website settings tabs

| Tab | Settings |
|---|---|
| **General** | **Name**, **Domain Name**, **Root Page** (the homepage, with every other page beneath it) and **Status**. |
| **URLs/Publishing** | **Token** (a shared secret, hidden like a password), **Cache Clear URL** and **Clear All Frontend Cache** (addresses Structurell calls to refresh one page or the whole site after you publish), and **Element Config URL** (where Structurell finds the page builder components your website supports). Usually filled in by your web developer. |
| **Blog** | **Root Blog Category**, **Blog enabled**, **Blog Landing Page** (its address starts every post and category address) and **Fallback Blog Path** (used when no landing page is chosen). See [Blog categories and authors](/strengthen/content-categories-and-authors). |
| **Search** | **Search enabled**, **Search Page** and **Fallback Search Path**. |
| **Public Site settings** | **Robots**, **Favicon**, **Public Site** and **reCAPTCHA connection** (protects your website's forms from spam; see [Connecting a provider](/connections/connecting-a-provider)). These are read by your website's code, so check with your developer before changing them. |
| **Elements** | Shown once the website is saved. Lists the page builder components your website supports, with their **Name**, **Code** and **Type**. |

## Page builder elements

On the **Elements** tab:

- Select **Import Elements** to refresh the list from your **Element Config URL**. Do this after your developer adds or changes components.
- The **Deploy webhook** section gives your developer a URL to call from their deployment process, so elements are re-imported automatically each time a new version of your website goes live. Select **Copy URL** to copy it. If no URL is shown yet, select **Regenerate secret** to create one.
- **Regenerate secret** replaces the webhook URL. You're asked to confirm, and the old URL stops working straight away, so update your deployment process at the same time.

## Manage your websites

Select a website in the list to open its **Website Settings**. If you can manage websites, each row's actions menu also has:

- **Clear Frontend Cache**: asks your website to refresh its copy of your content. Use it if published changes aren't showing.
- **Import Elements**: refreshes the website's page builder components.

To take a website offline for a while, set its **Status** to disabled rather than deleting it.

## Troubleshooting

- **Domain Name has no options**: add the domain in **Account → Domains** first.
- **Published changes aren't showing on your website**: use **Clear Frontend Cache** on the website. If that doesn't help, ask your developer to check the **URLs/Publishing** settings.
- **New components don't appear in the page builder**: select **Import Elements** on the website.
