Campaigns bring a marketing push together in one place: what you're running and when, where its traffic comes from, the landing pages, lead forms and social posts that belong to it, and the leads it produces. Campaigns don't send or publish anything themselves; you build pages, forms and posts in Content, CRM and Social and connect them here. You'll find campaigns under **Grow → Campaigns** in the Signal group. Social campaigns are separate and live under Social.

## Before you start

- Campaigns must be included in your subscription's package. See [Package and add-ons](/account-and-access/package-and-add-ons).
- You need permission to view campaigns, and permission to set them up if you want to create new ones. Your subscription administrator can grant this. See [Users, teams, groups and permissions](/account-and-access/users-teams-groups-and-permissions).
- Some tabs rely on other parts of Structurell. The **Leads** and **Targets** tabs need CRM, and the **Performance** tab needs Performance. A panel you don't have permission for shows **You are not authorised to view this page**.

## Create a campaign

1. Go to **Grow → Campaigns**.
2. Select **Create Campaign**.
3. In **Campaign Setup**, enter a **Campaign Name**. This is the only required field.
4. Optionally choose a **Campaign Type** (Lead Generation, Content Launch, Social Promotion or Multi Channel) and a **Goal** (Awareness, Engagement, Traffic, Qualified Leads, Conversions or Retention).
5. Optionally choose a **Status**: Draft, Active, Paused, Complete or Archived. If you leave it blank, the campaign starts as Draft.
6. Optionally set **Starts At** and **Ends At** dates and add **Notes**.
7. Select **Save**. The new campaign opens so you can carry on setting it up.

The campaign list shows each campaign's name, type and goal, dates and status. Select a campaign to open it.

## Edit a campaign

1. Open the campaign. It opens on the **Overview** tab, which shows counts for **Channels**, **Domains** and **Schedule** above the **Edit Campaign** form.
2. Change any of the details, for example set the **Status** to Active when the campaign goes live.
3. Select **Save**.

## The campaign tabs

| Tab | What it's for |
|---|---|
| **Channels** | Add traffic sources and UTM templates. |
| **Landing Pages / Forms** | Connect Content landing pages and CRM lead forms. |
| **Socials** | Draft social posts for the campaign. |
| **Targets** | Choose the contacts and organisations the campaign is aimed at. |
| **Leads** | See the leads the campaign has received. |
| **Performance** | See lead quality broken down by source. |

Sources, landing pages, forms and social drafts are covered in [Campaign sources, landing pages and social drafts](/grow/campaign-sources-and-links). Lead quality is covered in [Performance insights](/grow/performance).

## Choose the campaign's targets

The **Targets** tab lists the CRM contacts and organisations the campaign is aimed at. You only see it if CRM is part of your subscription and you have permission to view campaign targets.

1. Open the campaign and select **Targets**.
2. Select **Add target**.
3. Choose a **Record type** (Contact or Organisation), then find and choose the **Record**.
4. Enter a **Reason** for targeting them.
5. Under **Evidence**, choose what supports the choice (Web link, Note, Signal, Lead or Engagement event) and fill in the field that appears. For a web link, enter the address; for a note, type it; for the others, enter the **Record ID**.
6. Select **Add target**.

To take someone out of the campaign, select **Remove** on their row, enter why they're being removed and select **Remove**. The row stays in the list as removed. Select **Add again** to bring them back. **Open record** takes you to the contact or organisation in CRM. For more about finding the right people, see [Prospect intelligence](/grow/prospect-intelligence).

## See the campaign's leads

Open the campaign and select **Leads**. The table lists the CRM leads recorded against this campaign, with the **Contact**, **Source**, **Status** and **Submitted At** time.

A lead is recorded against a campaign when it comes in through a CRM lead form whose **Campaign ID** is set to this campaign. The campaign's ID is the number at the end of the page address while the campaign is open. You set it on the lead form, in its **Campaign and landing page** section. See [Lead forms](/grow/lead-forms).

## Delete a campaign

1. Open the campaign.
2. Select **Delete**.
3. Confirm with **Delete**. You return to the campaign list.

Deleting a campaign can't be undone. The pages, lead forms and social posts connected to it are not deleted.

## Notes

- The **Domains** and **Schedule** tabs can't be used at the moment. Saving an entry on either of them returns an error. Record key dates and web addresses in the campaign's **Notes** instead.
- The **Channels** panel at the top of the **Channels** tab only lists channels already recorded for the campaign. You can't add channels there.

## Troubleshooting

- **Campaigns unavailable** with **This section is temporarily unavailable at the moment.** Campaigns couldn't be reached, is still being set up for your subscription, or isn't in your package. Try again later or check your package.
- **Add a campaign name before saving.** Enter a **Campaign Name**.
- The lead count on the list or on the Overview shows 0 even though leads have arrived: open the **Leads** tab, which shows the campaign's actual leads.
- No leads appear on the **Leads** tab: check that the lead form's **Campaign ID** matches this campaign.
